POPSUGAR Must Have Box - February 2014 Review

I am so excited to write this review. This month I received my first POPSUGAR Must Have box. It was tough, but I managed to avoid seeing any spoilers before mine arrived. The POPSUGAR Must Have box costs $39.95 a month. If you are willing to pay for full year in advance you can save $50. This seemed pricey to me in the beginning, but after doing some research I realized that I would always get my money's worth from this service. Each month you get full size products hand-selected by POPSUGAR editors. These items can be fitness, fashion, beauty, food, or home related.

Each month the box includes a fold out card that details the contents of the box. POPSUGAR founder and editor in chief, Lisa Sugar, also writes a letter sharing the inspiration for that month's box.

The first item I pulled out was a box of Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts. These candy hearts have a value of $7.50 and were beautifully packaged. This may be the first time that I did not want to immediately devour the candy in front of me.

The box also contained a code for 20% off a Sugarwish order. I cannot wait to check out their website and send a beautiful box of candy to a friend.

The next item was a k. hall designs Peony Candle Tin. The candle has a wonderful scent and is valued at $11. I am truly amazed that such a small candle can have a burn life of 20 hours and cannot wait to test it out.

I was very excited to see this Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum valued at $23.99. My skin is very dry this time of year, and I have always wanted to try a replenishing oil. Organic skin care makes me happy, but the price is always a major deterrent. Getting such a nice skincare item in a subscription box makes it easier to test it with less guilt.

This box included an NCLA Nail Polish in Rodeo Drive Royalty. The polish is valued at $16 and is a nice, professional color. I can see wearing this one during my busy months at work.

I have never had a lip gloss/lip stick duo before, so I was thrilled to receive this ModelCo Lip Duo. I cannot find this item for sale on its own, so I am guessing that the value is between $25-29 based on other sets and individual items on their website.

I may have been most excited to receive this Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll. Not only is it extremely cute, but it is something I actually needed.

The jewelry roll has a value of $45. It has three zippered pockets and 18k gold plated hardware. The idea of gold plating on hardware always makes me smile. I'm not sure that I would ever know it was there if it was not advertised.

This Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash was an extra in the box this month. It is not a high end item, but it is quite practical and it has a great scent. This has a value of about $3.

I was quite happy with my first month of the POPSUGAR Must Have box. Since I paid for a year in advance I essentially got around $130 in products for $36. Nothing in this box will go to waste, and I will probably look for a way to reuse the cute Sugarwish box.

What did you think of the February 2014 POPSUGAR Must Have box?
