Beauty Box Five Review - March 2014

This was my first monthly box from Beauty Box 5, so I was not at all sure what to expect. Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that delivers 5 beauty samples in each box. Products range from high end to everyday brands. A monthly subscription costs $12, but if you are willing to pay in advance you can get a year for $99.

Each box includes a card detailing the products inside, how to use them, and how much a full sized product will cost.

Design Essentials Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse - 1.83 oz, $3.90 value
I'm not familiar with this brand, but I can tell you that is smells amazing.

Tree Hut Moisturizing Hand Cream in Coconut Lime - 3 oz, $5.29 value
This lotion smells even better than the mousse. It has a very obvious coconut lime scent, but it is not overwhelming. My hands are not greasy after using it, but I can tell that it is moisturizing. This product is a hit for me

Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base - Full Size (0.25 oz), $18.99 value
According to the Bellapierre website this makeup base acts as a waterproof base for eye pigments and can help make shimmer powders matte. It can also double as a concealer or illuminator. I cannot wait to test it out as a concealer.

Jane's Pick All Natural Soap - 1oz, $1.60 value
The scent was not marked on the packaging, so this is a mystery soap for me. It has a nice herbal scent, and I believe I will enjoy using it. BB5 recommends trying to use it instead of shaving cream, so this may be what I do.

Swissco Dual-sided Facial Pad - One Size, $2.00 value
This is like a loofah for your face! I can imagine this being awesome to use one summer night after lathering sunscreen on my face all day. I think I will save this for my next beach adventure!

I feel comfortable calling my first Beauty Box 5 box a complete hit! I hope next month is just as fantastic.
